Not quite an Iron Chef, not quite a Round Robin, I have a challenge/contest/writers workshop for the authors among us. I had a flash of inspiration, and I’d like your help to realize it. I’d like us to write a series of short fiction pieces on Artie. The set up is simple; The Pizza King/Prince is having a ‘ONE NIGHT ONLY’ special, and everyone’s favorite delivery person/ abductee is in charge of making all the deliveries. The rules are simple: Your story should take up no more than a half hour of Arties valuable time (he does have other deliveries you know), you cannot have him killed or get fired in your story (although you will all most likely contribute to his dismissal at the end of this wild evening.), since we are covering several hours of deliveries, your fic can take place in daylight or darkness, and the weather is comfortably mild weather and Artie is assumed to wear his delivery uniform as seen in ‘the Lawndale Files’, you must ‘call’ a character by responding to this message with which one you want (first come, first serve), you may confer with other authors who may wish to work together on certain ‘groups’ (in that vein if anyone selects Daria, Roger Moore, who has laid claim to Jane, would like to confer with you ) The other already ‘called’ characters are Tiffany, Quinn, Jake, and Demartino. I’ll be starting a new thread with my ficlet and the stories themselves should go on that thread. I guestimate this to run about a week, but there is no real ‘set’ close date. The final stories will be posted on the sh33p’s fluff under the series / story title ‘Pizza and Mayhem in Thirty Minutes or Less’
