Q: You people are horrible! You should be ashamed! I hope Jhonen throws you off FF.net himself!!!
A: Well, that’s not really a question, but it has been said frequently enough.
You can’t address this issue without talking about those people calling themselves “True Fans”. You know who I’m talking about. The people who memorized the comic cover to cover and who scream bloody murder if someone does something in fandom that they feel contradicts it?
And for those people, I’m gonna have to agree with Erin,
when he said “We
made it QUITE clear what was in this fic in the disclaimer. If it bothered you
so much, why the hell did you read it in the first place? Stop with the "I'm a TRUE JV fan"
crap please. It doesn't impress us. …we're still going to post it whether you
like it or not. Don't like it? Go read something else and quit wasting your
time reading it and our time putting up with you.”
While Senor Vasquez is a VERY talented artist, as well as an apparently intelligent human being, he is not a deity. He does not see all and know all. (Unless, of course, he passes his Deity Registration Test, and we all hope and pray he will. j/k)
It also has to be said the Almighty Jhonen is pretty cool when it comes to fanfic and fan art. If he’s cool enough not to start shutting fan sites down ala Anne Rice when he hears about porn involving underage schoolboys and millennia old aliens (Heh… sorry Zim/Dib shippers. No disrespect meant.), then he’ll probably let this by. We haven’t heard angry letters from him yet, (knockonwood knockonwood) and we don’t really expect to hear any in the future. The guy’s busy enough. He’s not going to start running around, trying to smite perverts like us.

Q: Damn this thing is OOC (out of character)! Nny/Devi/Tenna/Elvis would NEVER do that!
A: We didn’t try to make ‘em perfect. Remember back to the disclaimer? “We can’t write like Jhonen, so we didn’t try?” Well, we can’t try to map out exactly what would be in character for everyone, so we just took the basic structure of the characters, ignored all the little details and had fun! You’ve got to do that in fanfic, and in life sometimes. (Odd, how we get this about Nny and Devi going at it in an alleyway, but not when Tenna starts having her way with Spooky…. /-g-/)

Q: I love this story! Can you update me via e-mail as to when you update/put up future stories?
A: Not at the moment. Both of us are complete slugs with occasional fierce busts of productivity. Trying to e-mail everyone about updates would annoy you and eventually us. However, we will put details as to the days we update on our author’s page.

A: Oh sweet baby Jesus, don’t I wish. No, we don’t know Jhonen, nor do we ‘know’ him, nor have we ever seen him at comic book signings. Hell, we haven’t even tried to e-mail him. Some fans we are… /-g-/

Q: Love your writing style, but all the sick stuff I can do without. You write anything cleaner?
A: As Dementia INC? No. Not yet, at least. Don’t know why,
but whenever Erin and me start brainstorming, the Perverse Filth sections in
our brains go into overdrive.
But separately, yes, of course! I’ve put up one “clean” fic in the Jhonen
section already, (Yay! I pat meself on the head!) and I’m working on dozens of
cleaner ideas (none of which, it seems will EVER be finished…) I hope at least
one will be coming out shortly.
Erin was working on a VERY nice little Daria erotica piece, and a Daria superhero series but a massive writers block has hit. But if his muse gets interested, he may pop by again.

Secondly, one of the authors is female (This would be Leigh), with a very pervese mind. VERY, I say, very!
But please don't be offended if you've made these mistakes. We’re not trying to single you out! They aren't big points, and they're very easy mistakes. But after the 100th time they do get mildly annoying. Just FYI...

A: No, she got off on a technicallity. (pun intended)The only time when Nny had any fun during this entire field trip o' Doom was way back in the first chapter. What the things needed to happen was for Nny to come when he and Devi were grudge fucking each other on the alter. Nny didn't get off at all before he and Devi had to run for their lives. (Ahh, supernatural birth control)

Future writing projects together are a little scanty right now. We both agree we want to write more, we just don’t have a strong enough idea, or enough time together at the moment. We wanted to do an Emperor’s new Groove/ JTHM/ IFS/ Daria/ Johnny Bravo crossover together (Johnny C’s New Groove. Try… just TRY to imagine the insanity), but other things took over, and we haven’t gotten back to it yet. And probably won’t for a while.
As for a sequel… well, that’s changed since the last FAQ. We ARE in the planning stages of the sequel, Love is a Sickness (go to http://www.goecities.com/dementia_inc/lias.html for a rough plot summery). But it’s slow going at the moment, so it probably won’t be out anytime soon.
On both fronts, there’s always a possibility, but no guaranties at the moment… /-sigh!-/
