I wish I could say it was a close race, but since we only got two enteries for the contest the conclusion wasn't exactly nail biting. Especially after the second application came in. Well, stop reading my mildly amusing banter and scroll down to see who entered!

I would like to say, that in both of our years as fanfic authors, neither me nor Erin have ever been subject to such a gorgous solidification of fan appreciation for our work. It almost makes you believe in angels getting their wings and fat ugly guys going home with drunk supermodels after last call. The detail, the true recreations of the scenes (although we were wondering why the doughboys were in there, since they didn't make an appearance). The alterations of our favorite charicters, IN the Vasquezian style, were so right on, I wondered if Rachel had snuck in, late and night and stolen our brains.
One of Erin's oldest and dearest female buds saw this pic, then immediatly asked who the person was, and if she could bear their children. Hearing that the artist was female only detered her slightly. It's just that good.

Allright, after all that ranting, I've pretty much left out the other entry in the contest, which is a very decent pic in it's own right.
This one was the first. The one that restored my faith in humanity and made me grateful that I knew I wasn't making a complete ass out of myself. Nice sized, excellent attention to detail, and a perfect depiction of one of my favorite scenes in the fic. Plus it's in color! Woo!
